The vehicle needs to be Taxed and have a Current MOT Certificate for your vehicle (if the vehicle is over 4 years old) The process starts by putting your name (Nominee) onto the Certificate….usually the name on the logbook
The whole process can be followed through the DVLA Website.
DVLA Swansea will forward you a new V5C Logbook with this registration on it and your MOT (if applicable) and thats it!
This registration cannot be transferred onto a Q plate vehicle. (Q Plate is a vehicle registration mark that starts with a ‘Q’, indicating that the vehicle was either not originally registered in the UK and proof of age was unavailable at registration; or that it is a vehicle that has been built using a significant proportion of used parts).
The plate is held on Retention Certificate – V750(NI).
