V5C. I will then request a new V750 certificate with your nominee name
officially printed on it. This takes approx 4 days for me to get from
the DVLA. You can then assign this VRM to a vehicle registered in your
nominee name. I will sign and date section 1 & 6 of the new V750 and
post it to your eBay order address.To assign this VRM add your
vehicle details to the V750 and post it with your V5C to the DVLA. Once
assigned the DVLA will post a new V5C to the registered keeper address
of your vehicle. The new V5C will show this VRM assigned to your
vehicle. The plates can be put on your vehicle as soon as the VRM is
assigned. When the VRM is assigned my entitlement ends and the
registered keeper of the vehicle gets the sole rights to transfer or
retain the VRM.Instead of
assigning by post it may be
possible to assign online using the V750 & V5C details at the gov uk
link above. Assigning online is more instant than by post but in some
cases you may need to assign by post, for example after a recent change
of keeper.NB the physical
plates are not included. You can use the new V5C to buy plates online or
locally. When the plates are fitted inform your insurer about the
